  • Practica, Residents, Interns, and Fellows (All Locations)
Opportunities for Practicum, Pre-Doctoral Internship, and Post-Doctoral Fellowship Students We offer a range of opportunities for students pursuing clinical psychology training at different stages of their education. Depending on your level of experience, there are roles available that provide hands-on involvement in psychological testing, clinical decision-making, and patient care. Practicum Students: Students in their practicum phase are invited to apply for Training Psychometrist roles. In this position, you will work closely with our senior psychometrists and attending psychologists, gaining foundational experience in psychological test administration and scoring. As a practicum student, you will be involved in day-to-day assessments under direct supervision, helping to build essential clinical skills. This is a great opportunity for those early in their graduate training to become familiar with the practical aspects of psychological evaluation. It at the discretion of the Clinical Director to accept students interested in psychotherapy, and all students, regardless of primary interest, are required to be trained in testing and evaluation. We have no therapy-only positions, which may be of less interest to students pursing licensure as a professional counselor or marriage and family therapist. Pre-Doctoral Interns and Residents: Pre-doctoral interns are eligible to apply for Psychometrist positions or, when appropriate supervision is available, Attending Psychologist roles. Generally, formal internships start with psychometry and work toward full assessment abilities. As a psychometrist, you will focus on administering a wide variety of psychological and neuropsychological tests, scoring assessments, and documenting findings. Once training in psychometry is satisfactory, you will take on more significant responsibilities, including supervising other psychometrists, conducting intake and follow-up sessions, and playing a key role in clinical decision-making, diagnostic formulation, and report writing (with your supervisor). Please note that some states require more than one intern to be enrolled in a formal pre-doctoral internship at the same time, and our ability to meet this requirement changes annually. We encourage you to inquire with us about availability before applying. Post-Doctoral Fellows: Post-doctoral fellows (especially those interested in neuropsychological or forensic training) can apply for Attending Psychologist positions with appropriate supervision. As a post-doc attending, you will have greater independence, managing complex clinical cases, providing supervision to psychometrists, and contributing to case concepualization and final diagnostic decisions. You will collaborate closely with senior psychologists to refine your clinical expertise and report writing skills. Similar to pre-doctoral interns, some states require more than one fellow to be enrolled in a formal fellowship at the same time, and our ability to offer this varies each year. Please contact us to confirm availability before applying. Each stage offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience in a supportive and collaborative environment. Whether you are just starting in your practicum or completing your post-doctoral training, you will find valuable opportunities to grow your skills and make meaningful contributions to patient care.
