ABOUT

Mrs. Fields has been a resident of the Lamar County area for several years, and has been in the nursing industry for almost 30 years. She started her career in healthcare with an associate's degree in nursing from Paris Junior College. She then went on to complete a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Science (B.S.N.) from Walden, and worked for many years as a Registered Nurse in the area.  She has provided clinical services in various settings, from hospitals to home healthcare. She recently returned back to her alma mater to take her career to the next level.  She will complete her Master of Nursing Science (M.S.N.) with an emphasis in Psychiatric Mental Healthcare (PMHNP) next year.

Her internship at Psychology Professionals has largely consisted of gaining experience in conducting psychiatric intakes, shadowing psychological and neuropsychological testing, participating in evaluation follow-up sessions, and participating in individual, group, family, and child psychotherapy sessions with providers from both Psychology Professionals and Counseling Professionals.

While Mandi has not fully decided how she will leverage her PMHNP graduate degree, she admits that she loves both the fast-paced nature of inpatient care, but also the patient connection established through longer-term outpatient care. Mandi resides just outside of the Paris, Texas area with her husband. They are proud to have a daughter who works in pediatric therapy services, a son in industrial development, and a younger daughter who was recently accepted to law school.
