ABOUT
Mr. Ajayi is an African native, but currently lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife and children. He holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Clinical Psychology from University of the Cumberlands, and will receive his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2019. He is currently conducting research for his doctoral dissertation as well as his pre-doctoral internship at another location. He works with Psychology Professionals on a part-time basis. Before studying clinical psychology, Mr. Ajayi studied substance abuse counseling in Dallas, Texas.
He was also a research assistant for the Center for Race and Gender Studies, a lab housed within the University of the Cumberland's Northern Campus in Florence Kentucky. The research goals of that center focused on the experiences of racial minorities in Appalachian communities. The most recent study focuses on the experiences of Africans who immigrated to both the United States, and more specifically, to rural Appalachian areas.
